AKSHARDAM TEMPLE

This temple is a "mandir" built without steel.! It consists of 234 ornately carved pillars, nine domes decorated, 20 shikhars quadrangled, a spectacular Gajendra Pith (plinth of stone elephants) and 20,000 murtis and statues of India's sadhus, devotees, acharyas and personalities of divine. 

  

The mandir is a fusion of pink stone and pure white marble. 

Each of these elements has a siginification: 

  -The pink stone symbolizes "bhakti". Is eternal flower. 

-The white marble is the absolute purity and eternal peace. 

 

The Akshardham Temple was built very quickly: only five years. That's 300 million hours of service provided by teams of 11,000 volunteers,, sadhus and artisans!

Hall of values

 

Hall of Values ​​is very original.
